WHAT IS AN ARBORIST?
The title “arborist” refers to a person who has gained the technical competence to correctly and efficiently care for trees and other woody plants. Arborists are generally called upon to evaluate the condition of trees, make recommendations for their care, and then provide services needed such as pruning, fertilization, and insect and disease control. Above all, the arborist is a highly qualified professional who recognizes their responsibility to maintain the considerable value trees can add to life and property.

Our Services

Our most commonly used services:

Tree Dismantling

This can often be a difficult task when certain obstactles such as greenhouses and telephone lines are in the way. This operation can be done using sectional felling, whereby the tree is taken apart peice by peice. For safety the removed sections are lowered to the ground using ropes. Any arrisings are disposed of.

Felling
The most straightforward way of removing a tree providing you have the room. Some felling operations may be more difficult than others as you may have a backward leaning tree which will need to be pulled over. Again, for this, we dispose of all of the arrisings.

Crown Reduction

If a tree has grown too large it can be a problem. This however doesn't have to result in the whole tree being removed. There may be multiple reasons you may wish for a reduction including: Lack of light, safety issues, non pleasant apparance, etc. When shaping the tree British Standards will be followed in order to maintain a pleasant shape.

Pollarding

In some cases it may be possible to clean up a tree by removing all of the growth on a tree back to a certain point, or points. These points then regenerate new sprouts, this is common on lime trees, poplars, and willows. Not all trees, such as beech, and conifers obviously, can tolarate this treatment

Our other services include the following:

Shaping, Cable Bracing, Thinning, Dead Wooding, Hedge Cutting, T.P.O. Applications, Stump Grinding, Soft and Hard landscaping, Tree inspections and surveys, Tree planting.
